Porter County Career & Technical Education Porter County Career and Technical Education provides the opportunity for all students to be successful at work and in life by providing hands-on vocational programs for all juniors and seniors enrolled in Porter County Schools. Porter County Career and Technical Education (CTE) has the responsibility to prepare Porter County students for a variety of careers so that they can confidently enter the job market and be successful in their future educational journeys. Mission: to help everyone to be successful at work. CTE is committed to support local business and industry with well-prepared workers to compete in today's global economy. Students will serve as the workforce of the future in Porter County. Porter County CTE graduates will be shaping the nation's destiny in this century. CTE strives to prepare students with the technical skills, attitudes, and competencies to successfully enter the job market and to be successful in future educational endeavors. Students are ready for today, prepared for tomorrow, and committed to the lifelong learning required for the future. CTE welcomes the involvement of local employers who want to participate in the development of our hometown talent into the workforce of the future. The Porter County Education Interlocal (PCEI) is a consortium of all the school districts in Porter County. PCEI vocational programs are open to all juniors and seniors attending Porter County High School plus students from Hobart High School. The programs are funded by local, state, and national funds and administered by the superintendents of Boone Twp, Duneland, East Porter County Schools, Porter Twp., Portage Twp., Union Twp., and Valparaiso Community Schools.
